			Riiga has one sun which has many names across Riiga, such as Diels in Benevis, Alus in Seleru, Vros in Vaman, Orinu in Qarbak, and Hata in Temanea. Its light is white in colour at its highest point and is the primary source of light during the day -- indeed, the daytime is distinguished by the sun's very presence. It rises in the east and sinks in the west. Some cultures associate the sun with fire, such as those with enough technology to understand how the sun's light can be magnified to cause fire, or those who associate fire as anything that emits light, but other cultures associate the sun with light alone, distinguishing it from fire as an element. Some see it as masculine due to it being a source of energy, while others see its warming embrace as something more feminine.

			Like the moon, the sun's origins are unknown. There are no known records that indicate the sun and moon were ever not present in Riiga.

	One of the more peculiar features in the Riigan night sky is what's often known as The Eye. It appears as a star or dense cluster of stars in an elongated, disc-like formation, with a bulge in the middle. It has great significance to mystics, as they believe The Eye -- called ~~Amim~~ in their tongue -- is the closest anybody will ever get to witnessing a celestial god, who are all eternally unreachable and unknowable. It is also regularly used by sailors, as it is a very distinct point of reference and is faster to visually locate than any other star.
