Temanea

Temanean kingdoms are usually ruled by a king called a tengan or shogun under a monarchical or feudal monarchical system.

The capital of Ho Da is Ho Da, with a population of ~200,000.

The capital of Yinchu is Suoma and has a population of ~165,000.

The capital of Ladari is Selangin, with a population of ~164,000.

The capital of Bandiao is Ruipin, with a population of ~127,000.

The capital of Porosoea is Manola and has a population of ~82,000.

Religions

The main religion in western and northern Temanea is Gaojhism. Gaojhist monks called gaotu reside in gaoguan, which are extravagant temples. The head monks often give the approval of the ancestors to upcoming monarchs, giving the religion a lot of authority.

The primary religion in eastern Temanea is Gontoism. Gontoist priests are called kanotu, and their places of worship are called pagodas, which are towering temples where certain spirits are said to gather. As with gaojhism, kanotu priests have some sway over rulers by offering blessings from the spirits and affirming the virtues of the monarchs.

Magic

Most mages in Temanea wield it because of artifacts, making it the place where the most magichaists can usually be found in Riiga. There are also a small number who study magic in a scholarly manner as magiturgists.

Magic mainly involves impiturgy.

Magic is sometimes used in warfare and sometimes for entertainment or purposes.

Economy

Temanea uses a wide variety of currencies, from the recently adopted paper banknotes called ruhe, to copper coins called lemen, to bartering.

Temaneans primarily offer luxurious silk and porcelain. Minor goods include rice wine, grain, spice, silver, gold, and bronze. Their most popular pigment is called Ladarean Orange, made from juniper, and is a vibrant, rich shade of orange.

Military

The military in Temanea are mostly used for defensive and offensive purposes. Guards are a separate force and are used to enforce the law and protect the privileged.

Temanea boasts the largest flat-bottom boats in the world, which are basically floating fortresses compared with the biggest seafaring ships, but they cannot handle the open seas. Despite this, Temanea does have other naval forces that can cross the oceans, but these are much smaller one- or two-masted vessels by comparison.

Ranged weapons used by soldiers are mainly crossbows, artillery, thrown blades, bows, and very rarely utilised cannons. Common melee weapons include blades, blunt weapons, polearms, flexible weapons, and unarmed combat.

The most elite Temanean soldiers are typically highly disciplined individuals who will give up everything for their respective ruler and nation. They are known for their steely determination and extreme sense of duty.
