Little is known about Wwinda people except that they believe in simple lifestyles in all aspects; progressiveness and growth are frowned upon and seen as an offence to the land. They believe large societies are doomed to inevitable destruction from either the outside or within, and that the only stable sized society is a small, community-based one. They still worship reindeer in the far north, and are rumoured to even have a basic type of king. It is for this reason that the Wwinda people are sometimes called the reindeer kings.

Wwinda People

The land of Remdor was once occupied by the Scarcun and the Wwindas people. The Scarcun were the dominant group of the two, using bronze technology to maintain a hold on their land, as well as Arason and Gnaisor. The Wwindas stayed in the Pearl Mountains and lived as nomadic reindeer herders. They are also thought to have worshipped reindeer, a belief that has been somewhat transformed into the Remdorian heraldic sigil of the Onuxutex stag.

People

Wwinda people have brown hair of medium to light shades and grey eyes. Due to their highly nomadic nature, the Wwindas moved further north after a time, into the now frozen over land of Windas. The world must have been a warmer place in this day. Despite leaving the land of Vyrdan open, the Scarcun people did not move in there. Instead they were driven off by the Gnaisor. The Wwindas lived peacefully on Windas for a long while, until a thousand years passed and the Kyrass people invaded. They captured many Wwindas and slew many more, but eventually left due to the harsh coldness. Those Wwindas who were brought back were used as slaves for a long time.

History

The Wwindas in Windas were left alone for a time longer until the Burning in 800, when Remdorians conquered the Urkadians of Vyrda and then went around the countryside, wiping out the Wwindas slavery settlements that had been established by previous rulers. Again, many Wwindas were killed and many were taken as slaves -- despite already been slaves -- for their new masters. But only ten years later, slavery was abolished. Many Wwindas people went back across the water to Windas, becoming the Oussa people because the traditional Wwindas already on Windas rejected their once-enslaved relatives.
