Tuaram

Tuaram contains a varied mix of empires, kingdoms, city-states, and smaller peoples.

The capital of Mbokecho is Majoha and has a population of ~50,000.

The capital of Hade is Menzige, with a population of ~55,000.

The capital of Shcholi is Mahorezo and has a population of ~25,000.

The largest of the Efisi city-states is Femabari, with a population of ~28,000.

Religions

Its main religions are Muk Zuas and Ma Tu. Muk Zuas has a large pantheon of gods which can be followed by anyone, though their current king -- called the nanohe -- usually has gained the favour of a particular god or goddess at the start of their rule. Ma Tu is closely tied in with the authority and validity of each king, known as a tzoil.

Neither religion utilises anything in the way of specific religious sites, as they are so closely tied with their governments. Priests of Muk Zuas are called Kejoka, and priests of Ma Tu are called Anari.

Magic

People from southern Baracsa mostly gain magic ability from spirits, though some are also born knowing how to wield magic. A handful of magic artifacts also exist in this land.

Common magic orders include animaturgy and diviniturgy.

Magic is mostly tied to religion.

Economy

Currency varies widely from place to place, though most larger markets will allow deal with all kinds of value stores such as beads, ingots, livestock, ochre, manillas, or ivory. Most people will barter goods, and some will accept coins from northern Baracsa.

The people of Tuaram primarily offer high quality gold and diamonds for trade, as well as wildlife.

Military

Military is used for most purposes throughout Tuaram; defending the nation, conquering other nations, enforcing laws, protecting the wealthy, and controlling people are all common uses.

Tuaram boasts only sail canoes and the occasional flat-bottom river boat in terms of naval forces; most warfare is done by land, as there are few major bodies of water that aren't rough seashores.

Ranged weapons used by soldiers are mainly the bow, slings, throwing spears, and bola. Melee weapons include blunt and farming weapons, and polearms.

The best soldiers in this area are known for their ruthless savagery, in some cases fighting till death.

Culture

Common forms of entertainment include drugs, festivals, food and drink, hunting, music, and sports.

Common artforms include carving, percussion, dance, pottery, and beadworking.

Common cultural practices include dental jewellery, brutal rites of passage, fasting, and communal drug usage.

Common cultural beliefs include only the strong survive, and equality is bad.

Building materials used include brush, adobe, thatch, plaster, clay brick, clay, bone, and sandstone. Clothing materials used include linen, grass, and hemp.
