Into
Into
For the history of these people, see Into History.
Many of the largest states in this area are tlarates, ruled by a god-king known as a tlar, who possesses one of fifteen ranks of authority.
The capital of Ngara is Inotisira and has a population of ~110,000.
The capital of Morunwa is Tangulan, with a population of ~72,000.
The capital of Angilun is Ungamiten and has a population of ~55,000.
Religion
A Tlarate is also their state religion, as their ruler is their deity. Temples are called unrotinga and can be found in every settled area, where people are required to offer goods and prayers to their tlars.
Magic
Magic in these lands is either inherited from birth by being born into a tlar's family as a magificer (the majority of mages), or granted by a tlar as a magimancer. There is no other significant known magic here.
Common magic orders include volunturgy and sensuturgy, with pragmaturgy rumoured to exist here too.
Magic is intertwined with religion.
Economy
Into people appear to have their own coins called trorin, but will only barter goods with outsiders. Livestock appear to be used as currency as well.
The few traders who have managed to make it into markets in the area were able to trade for obsidian and jade, considered to be two of the most valuable trade goods in the area. Animals, grain, lumber, and bronze were also common.
Military
Into soldiers in Tlarates experience a lot of power, and are used to defend their nation, conquer outside forces, enforce the law, protect the wealthy, and control the people.
Despite boats playing a major role in this area due to the sheer number of islands and coastal areas, seafaring ships never really got developed. Because of this, naval forces in the area are only dangerous to invaders.
Into ranged weapons are mainly throwing spears, blowguns, thrown blades, bola, or throwing axes. Melee weapons include mainly blunt weapons and axes.
The greatest Into warriors are said to be perfect killers blessed by the tlars, untouchable by ordinary weapons; only materials like obsidian and jade will pierce their flesh.
