Alacas
Culture and Locations
Alacas is a princedom ruled by a grand prince in central Ideitess. Its official religion is Alatia -- which later came to be the name of the people and princedom -- which teaches people to seek out divine truth and help out your fellow Alatian follower. They are very nationalistic, taking great pride in their rather unique appearance of having elongated ears, and are very protective of their cultural ways. Their capital is Alacas, which is also built on top of the archaios known as Alacas.
Alacas lies in a taiga valley between the Mountains of Eyes and the western Khatsanaras in a region called the Tiuta Basin. The Velishla is the largest river here and flows through Alacas.

History and Relations
When the area was settled by the first followers of Alatianism around 100BD. They were soon absorbed into the Xilou Hoqomer around 50BD, and they held out against the Darkness in the year 0 by hiding in Alacas the archaios. The Dunian Empire soon reach Alacas around 450AL but do not manage to take the city and cannot progress their empire any further. Later, around 650AL, the kingdom of Yvabira advances on the area and they do manage to conquer the area, but there comes a huge surge in Alatian followers around the year 750AL and the first Alatian prince declares Alacas independent from Yvabira. Ethnic groups in Alacas are varied, but mostly are a mix of Alatian -- who are found nowhere else in Riiga -- and Yvabiran.
Military and Art
Alacas has a unique force of soldiers known as water knights, who combine heavy-armour fighting styles with healing magic that uses water, making them a force difficult to vanquish. They use this combination of healing and armour to outlast foes. Common architectural features include octagonal domes and religious obelisks, and common artforms include the spoken word and festivals.
