Mythology

According to Hoqomer, all existence was created solely by Xudo, and he bore four other aspects of himself to have dominion over different aspects of the world. It was also Xudo himself who created the first humans, the Eber.

At the same time as the Eber first walked the land of Seleru, a race of demons arose, created by a rival god of darkness, Xudo's nameless unholy brother. The unholy god tricked Xudo by exploiting Xudo's goodness, and trapped him. The demon people were called Amim, and they began to wage war on the Eber tribes, forcing the smaller group of people to unite and band together. The war between Eber and Amim waged on for 10,000 years and many Eber were enslaved and became corrupted servants to the Amim, until finally Xudo finally escaped the trap and banished all Amim from the land, cursing them to remain trapped underground and banishing his unholy brother from the realm of man.

Prehistory

The various Eber peoples lived in Simber and Seleru for thousands of years, experiencing what they claim to be the richest prehistoric culture in Riiga. Their tribal groups were powerful and consolidated, and they had vast farms, livestock, boats, and furniture the likes of which nobody else had seen.

But the land was unforgiving, and a great dryness came across the Eber peoples. This drought came from a desert that had suddenly began to emerge from Seleru, and consumed a great swathe of land within a dozen generations. As soon as Xudo descended and tried to stop the expansion of this desert, the land resisted and opened up. Black dust and fire burst from the depths, carried forth by a new type of demons -- the Karithians. And the destruction almost saw the end of all the tribes. Xudo sent the Karithians back into one corner of the desert where he managed to keep them, but he could not stop the growth of the desert; he could only halt it in its tracks, where it remains to this day.

The surviving tribe were the Esereu people, who apparently blamed Xudo for the great destruction and turned to the heavens for answers. It wasn't until the first Hoqon in 1300BD that Xudo's influence returned to the realms of man.

Hoqon Xilouxar was one of the greatest Hireos hoqon warlords in history. Supposedly living from around 500BD - 250BD, he won the Hoqon Wars, uniting Seleru and Simber and ending the Qeyu Hoqomer, and he won the Burning Sea Wars against the Vesdorians decades later. Under his rule, the Xilou Hoqomer consumed most of Baracsa save Nor. His descendants continued the hoqomer's expansion into Armalia.
