Culture and Locations

Wayinzo is a coastal civilisation in eastern Jadar. They are ruled by a tzoil king, who justifies their validity and authority through the Ma Tu religion, which teaches that the people should be utterly obedient toward whoever is ruling. They believe greatly in strength, and stubbornly resist the Hade Empire at their borders. Their capital is Hemerene.

Wayinzo has a savanna coastline with subtropical rainforest further inland. Its western border is the Hills of the Horn and its eastern border meets the Diamond Sea. The Mbena River flows through Hemerene, the Nenina River makes its southern border with Miyikisi, and the Jolihido River makes its northern border with Owngatho.

History and Relations

These peoples came together and formed a civilisation with the help of the Mvecho Kingdom, which brought technologies in for Wayinzo to consolidate and grow. They came together officially around 900AL. The people here are mainly Hanjare. They are in agreements with Mvecho, are allied with Owngatho, are friendly with the Miyikisi, see some tension with the Hade Empire, and enslave the Nacha people. They mainly export slaves and gold, and trade with the East Tuaram Company.

Military and Art

The most known warrior of Wayinzo are the hijezahe warriors, who wear the pelts of these great hyena-like beasts after being required to slay one at a young age. They use guerrilla warfare to combat enemy tribes and keep the Hade Empire at bay, and are known to bring animal companions with them when they go out to scout or fight. The most distinct architectural sight is the obelisk, and most Wayinzo partake in bead-working.
